Created by a Hong Kong artist who had just graduated from the U.S. and is now pursuing further studies in the U.K., Slasher explores the “斜槓” lifestyle, the reality of balancing multiple jobs and passions to sustain both life and art. Drawing from experiences across different upbringings, countries, and worlds, the zine captures a universal truth: we’re all just trying to make art and figure out who we are. Through reflections on burnout, ambition, and creative survival, Slasher celebrates flexibility, self-expression, and the many paths that shape a modern artist’s journey.
